It’s no secret that the fashion industry has been hostile toward bigger bodies for as long as its existence, and that’s made finding clothing very difficult for most of us above a size 10. It has always felt like trendy fast fashion stores didn’t include plus sizes, or only stocked a very limited amount. Yet contemporary plus size stores always seemed to be seasons behind in fashion trends. Even shopping at vintage stores and boutiques, I had trouble finding my size 16. I turned to thrifting as a result and realized that there were so many more quality pieces in my size from the decades passed. I began to find so many more pieces that felt like expressions of my own style and taste, building my own personal style. Over time, I started Thick Chick because I wanted to help other mid and plus size baddies find clothes that reflect their personal style —-and FIT them! i believe you should wear what makes you feel like your most authentic self, and I’m here to help.

Each time I pop up at a market irl, I bring a curated collection of gorgeous pieces only for sizes large through 4X+. Our dress/pants sizes generally go from women’s size 10 - 32, and sometimes up to 36. We are always working to extend our sizes as much as possible. Our inventory is constantly changing as pieces sell, and as we find amazing and unique, often one of a kind vintage items! We also now offer style bundles and personal shopping options if you’re looking for a more custom experience, and soon, private shopping appointments!
